General update!!


Nope, it's not done yet. But It is getting ever so closer!

The most exciting news right now is that im *nearing* finishing putting together ALL PLAYABLE LEVELS in the game. Granted, they still have to be tested and thoroughly put through scrutiny, but I'm nearing the main playable stuff all being done, which is quite exciting.

I have also been working on boss fights, with a major change in philosophy. Instead of focusing on the puzzle aspect of fights, I'm putting a lot more emphasis on real-time action. I'm designing fights to be beatable by all three characters (most of the time), with viable strategies for each character. I noticed people tend to dislike stop-n-go kinds of fights, so I decided you can basically just pummel bosses however you please while avoiding their attacks. I think it's made for a much more enjoyable experience.

I'm also focusing on updating the script. I'm removing intrusive mid-level dialogue, and I'm giving characters new accents. Wendy now speaks with a thick southern bell, while Izzy now speaks with a mixture of Irish and Scottish accents! 

Also, the most major update canon-wise: Rosa now goes by They/Them. 

I'm also constantly stepping up my music game. I feel like there's a bit of a gap in quality between tracks I wrote years ago and the most recent stuff, but eh. I like what's there for the most part, and I don't think I need to touch much stuff up. I just want to make the more intense music as good as I can make it.
